I was ordained a priest for the Diocese of New Ulm in 2004. Over the past 20 years I have served in Catholic Schools three different times. It has been a true joy to serve Jesus in this capacity during my priesthood. Early on it was fun to go out to the playground and throw the football around with the kids and to kick soccer balls over the school while visiting with them and getting to know them. Now that I am older let's just say tactics have changed so that I don't end up in the emergency room with some joint needing reconstruction. Therefore, to spend time in the lunch room, visiting on the playground, teaching in the classroom and praying with the kids during mass are what I love about being in a Catholic school. Just trying to be approachable and hoping that the kids see a little bit of Jesus in me so that he may be more approachable to them in their prayer life is something I pray is happening during our time together.
